GES provided MEP & FP engineering services for the constructability review of the $85.9 million facility for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, Child and Family Services Agency and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The new building will be LEED Gold certified and include a ground floor public Gallery.

GES personnel managed over $5 million worth of construction over a 3 month period and 500,000 sf of space. Project consisted of emergency asbestos abatement, restoration of mechanical and electrical systems, interior renovations and construction of a temporary and permanent roof.

As part of a comprehensive CM team, GES is providing construction quality management services for over 215,000 gsf of major renovations to NIH Building 10. The project is an incremental renovation of the F wing of Building 10 (floors 2-14), involving the conversion of former patient care units to laboratories, lab support, administrative areas and new utility infrastructure including installation of mechanical equipment and vertical building and lab service distribution risers for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

GES provided construction management and program management support services for the 20,000 sf LEED Silver library. GES was responsible for reviewing the MEP drawings, specifications and calculations at each major milestone to verify accuracy, note constructability issues, and identify design flaws which have cost implications, code concerns, etc. During construction, GES will be conducting field inspections, responding to construction questions and providing CM support.

GES is providing construction management services as part of a comprehensive team for the new 307,000 sf addition of the Porter Neuroscience Research Center. Services have included design and constructability reviews for the project to expand the vivarium facility and provides new behavioral, tissue culture, and electrophysiology laboratories and lab support spaces, an imaging suite, as well as offices, meeting rooms break rooms and a café. The review focused on ensuring that the designs complied with all applicable NIH policies, codes and standards

GES provided construction management and program management support for the 23,000 sf LEED Silver library. GES was responsible for reviewing the MEP drawings, specifications and calculations at each major milestone to verify accuracy, note constructability issues, and identify design flaws which have cost implications, code concerns, etc. During construction, GES will be conducting field inspections, responding to construction questions and providing CM support.

GES provided on-site construction management services at the University of Maryland, College Park. Projects have included the renovation of Denton Dining Hall, the Stamp Student Union skylight replacement, SCUB II piping relocation, and the SW Mall landscape improvements.

Under a prime IDIQ contract, GES provided construction management services to installations throughout the Baltimore District. Services included scheduling, cost estimating, design and constructability reviews, quality assurance, value engineering, on-site project management, and inspection services.

GES has provided construction quality management services for various projects for the National Institutes of Health, including the New Commercial Vehicle Inspection Facility, New Northwest Child Care Center, Renovation of Buildings 6, 6A, and 6C, as well as various laboratory renovation projects. Services have included design reviews, value engineering, inspection, claims analysis, and on-site construction management services.

GES is providing construction management services for a $10 million renovation and addition. Approximately 46,000 sf will be renovated and the addition will be about 10,000 sf. GES provided constructability and construction document reviews, and is currently providing onsite personnel.

Global Engineering Solutions (GES) is serving as a subcontractor to Parsons Corporation on a five-year task order contract to provide program/construction management services to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) in support of the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (DHS CBP). The GSA Special Programs Division (SPD) operations was established in October 2008 to provide overall coordination, program management procurement and construction management services in response to growing requirements from GSA's client agencies, primarily the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The requirements generally involve planning and executing technology and infrastructure upgrades at Ports of Entry and other Government facilities nationwide.
