GES provided the engineering design and CA services to replace the entire fire alarm system for this mixed use, dormitory, commercial and retail facility. The building is comprised of commercial spaces, administrative functions including student counseling center, restaurants, deli, a dormitory with a total of nearly 400 beds and suites for Resident Life staff. The new fire alarm was designed to not only meet current codes, but to provide security enhancements for the residents including mass notification in the event of a security issue on campus. The new fire alarm system was also designed to tie into the campus command center, such that supervision could be done remotely.
